SCARABEO-ISLAND is more than just a website. It is a community with a goal of serving the society by promoting new artists and DJ’s and performers in a unique way. The decision for the next event, to be hosted and sponsored by SCARABEO, is taken by the members of the SCARABEO-ISLAND community through a voting procedure.
How it all works:
Create your online art portfolio by uploading your artwork. By doing this you publicly expose your work, gather a group of fans, share opinions and receive SCARABEO credits.
Artists with a complete profile and more than 100 fans are entitled to a 7-day exhibition, free of charge. No commission charged for the selling of artwork.
When uploading their work, artists can optionally participate in our 60- day competition.
The winners will be determined by an applied direct democratic vote of the network members and will receive generous prizes.

By uploading work, rating and commenting members receive SCARABEO-ISLAND currency which can be exchanged at the SCARABEO establishment for drinks and gifts.*
Create your online music portfolio by uploading your DJ sets. By doing this you publicly expose your work, gather a group of fans, share opinions and receive SCARABEO credits.
DJ's with a complete profile and more than 100 fans are entitled to their own gig. 1 euro entrance fee will be charged at the door on the night of the event. 100% of the profit will go towards the performing DJ (DJ has to pay the ticket collector) >
When uploading their sets, DJs can optionally participate in our 30-day competition.
The winners will be determined by an applied direct democratic vote of the network members, will be given the possibility to perform in front of a live audience and receive a prize worth €250 which includes:

Create your online video portfolio by uploading your Performances. By doing this you publicly expose your work, gather a group of fans, share opinions and receive SCARABEO credits.
Performers with a complete profile and more than 100 fans are entitled to their own gig. 1 euro entrance fee will be charged for each performer (ex. if a band/theatrical group etc has 4 members then 4 euro will be charged) at the door on the night of the gig. 100% of the profit will go towards the performers (Performer(s) has to pay the ticket collector) >
